Just dropping my two cents into the jar.

Bit of a throwback for me, as I prefer the Gen 1 over anything new.. That being said, I'm trying to fill as much of everything as I can (Dex-wise) before the new releases in a couple weeks.

Sucker for hand-raising magikarp from lvl 5.

Anything else is just open season.

There are definitely a lot of people who will be willing to help you with your pokedex, and honestly I like gen 6 pretty well because of the shiny hunting methods and odds (and the pokemon in general like swirlix and spritzee)

Yeah, I lost interest after gen II only to sporadically pick them up years after releases. Wasn't until ORAS did I actually see something I liked. I'm a huge fan of this Dex-chaining thing. Adds an interesting dynamic to the game. Mega evolutions and moves are meh, but I get needing to differentiate the combat a bit to relieve the monotony.
