As far as I'm aware, you weren't able to pass on pokeballs while breeding Genderless pokemon such as Metagross. However, the Beldums I just bred are all in a quick ball... So has anyone else noticed this?

That was in OR/AS. I had a Magcargo in a quick ball and it did the same thing.

Magcargo isn't genderless. Female pokemon have always been able to pass down their ball, but genderless would always have to be bred with ditto, causing a pokeball to be passed.
