Does anyone know if the Wii U lens cleaner is region free?

It's currently only available in America and Japan, living in Scotland, that doesn't help me much, but if it's region free I'll just order one from Play Asia.

Anyone know?

I'm not too familiar with how disk cleaners work on consoles, but it might work to some degree. My logic is, the disk has to spin for the system to recognize it's not the correct region. Worst case scenario, you have to eject and put it in a few times.
