[HELP] Threads that I close still get "new" replies

Okay, what I mean is that when I check out my user CP and check if I get new replies for threads. I keep getting updates for threads that are closed. There are obviously no new replies but it keeps saying there is.
I thought maybe it was just slow on the update but no, it's been like this for weeks now.

one problem i can think of that i did was if you delete the top post instead of the entire thread it can sometimes think its still there when you have already deleted it, but it goes away after a while
