His run with AEW officially just ended earlier this month when he was released from his contract, but Miro wrestled his last match for the company when he faced Andrade at AEW’s Worlds End PPV on Dec. 30, 2023. Miro only wrestled 36 matches in his four-plus working for Tony Khan. Now, with fans speculating on his possible return to WWE (where he was under contract from 2010-2020, mostly working under the name Rusev), he’s wrestled one in his post-AEW career. No word yet on whether or not The Redeemer was victorious in his clash with AAA Mega Champion Alberto El Patron (fka Alberto Del Rio) on Sat., Feb. 22. The match took place at Qatar Pro-Wrestling’s Super Slam III event in Doha, and won’t be available for viewing until it hits TrillerTV on March 1. Confirmation that it happened came via X/Twitter, along with a few pictures of the 39-year-old Bulgarian in action.
