[ORAS] Dex Nav Chaining help!

As far as I know, It's still not determined, If the shiny charm actually influences the dexnav chaining Undecided

Thats pretty common don't worry. I have catched several shinies so far by using this method. My longest chain has been 842 for shiny ralts so 400 is actually not that much since the odds apparently are 1:512 .

I would also like to mention that if you go to search for a pokemon (like your rosella for example) and the dex nav doesnt find one. and while trying to reset the dex nav another random pokemon shows up on the dexnav, if you encounter that pokemon and either faint or catch it, that WILL continue your chain.


So halfway through a chain, if the dexnav can't locate the pokemon your looking for, it doesn't break the chain?
