No, Desolate land will still negate HP water regardless. If you have a Pokemon with air lock or cloud nine in battle (switch in) while desolate land is up, you can still use HP water on Groudon because its effects are canceled.
Sleep is important, so take a nap -_- (zzzzzzz....)
