I just picked up Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon tonight.
I'm a little sad that Cubone isn't playable, like he was in Blue Rescue Team...
That said... what does everyone feel is the best pokemon to play as, strategically? Does it actually make any difference in the long run and it all comes down to preference?
The game seems to difficulty curve but still you can beat the game with any character as for the best character im not sure, usually there will be that one dungeon that either you, your partner or both have difficulty with
What I can tell you is to just go with your gut and use your Pokemon knowledge. I went with Pikachu. But there is a difficulty curve that will make you want to quit it in my opinion.
If you always bring you and your partner on every adventure it should be fine throughout no matter the choices. Fire struggles post game but as long as you always played as yourself and your partner that shouldnt be a big issue either, just manage your items and remember that you dont have to fight everything you see if you have the right stuff.
