[Question] HA Piplup

I received a HA Piplup in a trade. It's in a Dive Ball.  Can a HA Piplup legally be in this ball or is it a hack. I was planning on using it to breed for a shiny but obviously if the resulting shiny pokemon has its HA I don't want people thinking my shiny is a hack.

You can catch a prinplup through island scan in any ball available in gen 7, which includes the dive ball. There was an event in the past with a Defiant Piplup (I think gen 5), so it could be legit if the person bred the two together.
