to trade you need to have other people added via friend code once thats done go to the plaza and connect to the internet, select the trade option and then link trade to trade with friends.

UPDATE: I'm at the link trade thingie but i only see guests and VIPs WHAT NOW 
(sorry im such a noob lmao)

in the link trade you should be able to see the name of the trainer follow by Friend list. IGN Fiona so we can trade.
