[S/M] SOS or Masuda?

Hey, just a quick question.  I was sos chaining for 3 hours, with my kadabra (my modest sync) and finally caught a shiny pichu, but it was docile... heartbreaking.

So my question is, what's better for getting shinies (with the shiny charm included): SOS chaining? Or the Masuda method?
I know the Masuda method can guarantee the right nature and even egg moves, but is the sos chaining that much faster to make up for the pros of the masuda method?
