[S/M] Does Pokemon Level Matter When EV Training in Sun/Moon?

If I have a level 1 pokemon and I level it up to level 100 before EV training. Do the stats end up different than if I EV train at level 1, and then level up to 100?

I mainly ask because I'm not sure if I should hold off on using certain pokemon until I'm ready to EV train them.

When it comes down to EV training there is no real better time to do so. At lower levels the effects of the EV training are going to be less apparent than later levels. Although unless you plan to level up your Pokemon entirely through rare candies or by the training pelago island. I would suggest getting their EV training done early as even with EXP share it will pass the EVs down to the other pokemon in the party. Unless you planned on resetting the EVs through the use of berries. This has been from my own personal research but somebody might be able to provide more information than I could.
