just wanted to see what others experiences in chaining shiny in oras were
so fare i found 1 shiny threw chaining
i got a shiny swablu after 10 chains at search lv 55
when i say 10 chains i mean i caught/knocked out 10 in a row and so far this is what i can understand
1: to continues a chain you much catch or knock out there pokemon (you can flee but that will only increase the search lv, and break the chain, still dont know how much search lv influences chances, but chaining seems to increase them more in addition to search lv)
2: if you can see a pokemon in the wild(such as the Wingull you find on beach) you can abuse this buy walking by them, checking them with your dex nav (which increases your search lv) and then going to another route or in a house/cave to reset them, then repeating untell you feel your at a good search lv (thanks to this i was able to have a search lv of 55 for swablu, while only backing to battle 10 in my chain
i tried to chain other pokemon (absol and relicanth) with no luck, and i believe it was because my search lv for them was to low (under 50)
