So I recently watched this movie and thought it was really touching. The film depicts this person dealing with grief while hiding it from the world. He is deeply depressed and is even considering suicide. Throughout the movie, we see different moments/interactions where the color palette changes from black-and-white~ish to very vivid colors. In this sense, the movie focuses on how “the little moments” make life more colorful and meaningful. It all ties together with the closing speech where Colin Firth’s character talks about “the moments where you are able to feel, not think”. Also, Colin’s performance is absolutely stunning. The way his character is so composed throughout the whole movie, yet at the end his “drunk acting” is extremely believable and human. All things considered, the movie was very touching and ‘life affirming’ in a way. What do you guys think?
