I like Action (is that called shonen in anime?) sort of things, I like well draw cartoons, and if it makes me laugh that's something xtra What's people's opinions on Kill la Kill, Evangelion, Hunter x hunter, and Full metal alchemist?? What are FMA Brotherhood, Akira, and Code Geass all about? I think I'll get around to Studio Gibli stuff eventually, my girlfriend loves those films so I can't escape it :P RE: Anime newbie looking for shows/movies - ilias - Feb 5, 2015 (Feb 5, 2015, 01:48 PM)adizz00 Wrote: I can recommend you Studio Ghibli movies Like Eeveeli said, there's Spirited away, Laputa Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, Mononoke Hime (Wolf Princess) I saw a studio Ghibli movie recently called 'The Tale of the Princess Kaguya' it was really good. It's also nominated for an Oscar! My favorite series is Angel Beats!. There's action, excitement, OP characters etc etc. If you need advice, I can maybe give some via PM if you'd like ^ ^; (well, better said, I can try, but only on shows I've watched so far too ^ ^; RE: Anime newbie looking for shows/movies - peter1994 - Feb 5, 2015 Sword art online is pretty good fairytale good too one of my favs is fullmetal alchemist I also recommend attack on titan if you like gore RE: Anime newbie looking for shows/movies - Muphry - Feb 5, 2015 (Feb 5, 2015, 02:36 PM)EspeonKing Wrote: k awesome! Attack on titan sounds like my thing then! FMA is really good for battles, Hunter X Hunter is even better. Geass has mechas and is very character oriented. I like them all. Akira is an amazing movie, probably my favourite anime film. It's a cyberpunk epic. I'd recommend Darker than Black for some really unique fights.
