Fantastic report! While I wanted to see more team diversity at Worlds, I understand that to get that far you have to conform to the Meta if you hope to stand a chance.

I have to agree that in top tier play we are always going to see the meta picks i mean meta literally stands for Most Effective Tactic Available. While i wish the format was more open to being rocked up a bit like it was in vgc14 i was not at all surprised to see battle spot rule in vgc15. I've made several strong non meta teams but only a couple of them have been devoid of the top picks entirely and only 1 of those was strong taking a 1st place and 3rd place finishes in justin's tournaments (but it was weaker to the off meta picks than the standard meta).
