Help me build a VGC '15 team? - SCf3 - Dec 20, 2014 I've been following VGC for the past year or so, but only got really involved in battling this past summer... and I'm not too great at building teams. EDIT: Here's a team I've been using on Smogon that I've been doing decent with. Thoughts/Advice? Cresselia @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate Level: 50 Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD Modest Nature - Icy Wind - Protect - Moonblast - Psychic Flying Thing (Landorus-Therian) @ Choice Scarf Ability: Intimidate EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 Spe Jolly Nature - Knock Off - Rock Slide - Earthquake - U-Turn Dragon Tales (Salamence) (F) @ Salamencite Ability: Intimidate Level: 50 EVs: 252 Atk / 6 Def / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Hyper Voice - Draco Meteor - Roost - Fire Blast Washy Wash (Rotom-Wash) @ Sitrus Berry Ability: Levitate Level: 50 EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD Calm Nature - Hydro Pump - Protect - Thunderbolt - Will-O-Wisp Bisharp (M) @ Life Orb Ability: Defiant Level: 50 Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature - Knock Off - Sucker Punch - Iron Head - Protect i'm sorry (Smeargle) (M) @ Focus Sash Ability: Technician Level: 50 Shiny: Yes EVs: 84 HP / 128 Def / 44 SpD / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Dark Void - Follow Me - Fake Out - Ice Beam RE: Help me build a VGC '15 team? - Chimchared7 - Dec 22, 2014 you need to spread the evs a bit more RE: Help me build a VGC '15 team? - SCf3 - Dec 22, 2014 (Dec 22, 2014, 07:14 PM)Chimchared7 Wrote: you need to spread the evs a bit more In general or for specific Pokemon? For Rotom I was thinking of using this spread that I've used before EVs: 84 HP / 128 Def / 44 SpD / 252 Spe Also I've been thinking of changing Landorus to another Pokemon because of the Ice weaknesses on my team. Any recs or should I keep him? RE: Help me build a VGC '15 team? - Oreo - Dec 22, 2014 It all depends who you play with Landorus. Ice used rightly against you could dominate you but if you play your cards right it could end up badly. I personally make sure I have one pokemon with a fire type move if I am using a Salamance and Landorus. Otherwise to me it seems pretty good. A trickroom team might do you some harm as well. Also your Landorus I would rethink the Defense over Special Defense maybe, I maybe wrong though so double check. The fire suggestion is a good idea, I've been having trouble going up against Ice types like Mamoswine and Abomasnow. I honestly might switch Landorus out with another Pokemon (maybe a fire type since there's SO much ice/ice moves around) maybe a fire type? I'm not sure. And yeah Trick Room has screwed me over sometimes... :/ Thanks for the tips! Edit: Replaced Landorus with Heatran, we'll see what happens. RE: Help me build a VGC '15 team? - Chimchared7 - Jan 2, 2015 i think for cresselia more like Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 60 SpD Calm Nature - Icy Wind - Protect - Moonblast - Psychic |
