Question regarding the Masuda Method - ShinIori319 - Jun 21, 2017 Hello everyone! This is a question I have regarding the Masuda method. We all know that breeding a Pokémon from our game/language with a foreign Pokémon increases the chances of the offspring being Shiny. My question is this, my games are in English. I have a Japanese Ditto, and I want to breed it with, let's say, a spanish Charizard. Does the Masuda method still apply if they're both foreign, even if they're still different regions/languages, or must the Charizard be from an English game to trigger the shiny bonus? RE: Question regarding the Masuda Method - ScottyThunder - Jun 21, 2017 As far as I'm aware, it just has to be two Pokemon from a different region, so a Japanese Ditto and a Spanish Charizard should work RE: Question regarding the Masuda Method - geetry - Jun 21, 2017 I believe it will, but you could always take a Charmander offspring (which is now ENG) and replace the parent so you'd have a JPN Ditto and an ENG Charmander. |
