It’s a relatively new game that you’ll be seeing pretty much everywhere this summer. It’s really popular with young adults. With the rise of Frisbee enthusiasts due to Ultimate Frisbee and Frisbee Golf’s recent spike in popularity, this casual but exciting Frisbee target game is also gaining a ton of attention! KanJam is, in a nutshell, a fast-paced 2-on-2 Frisbee game using 2 specially designed target cans. Each team of 2 takes a turn trying to score in the opposing net, with both players actively involved in the action. How To Play: Teams take turns trying to score points. With the 2 targets set 50 feet (or your desired distance) apart, the Thrower tosses the Frisbee and scores a ranged of points based on the outcome of the throw. The Deflector partner is allowed to knock it in the air to alter the throw, improving the chances of gaining points. (See diagram) How To Win: The first team to 21 points wins… OR, the team that does a perfect throw and tosses their Frisbee through the small slot in the can – that’s an Instant Win! What’s Included: When you buy this official KanJam game, you receive 2 customized cans and 1 Frisbee. The cans are collapsible, so they can store flat when you aren’t playing. The Frisbee included in the set is decent, but true Frisbee fans may wish to substitute the one in the set with their own. It’s a great game for volleyball players (or people who used to play a bit of volleyball in their day and still enjoy the game) – athletic people who want something challenging and fun to do in the backyard, on the beach, at the park, on the college grounds, in a squash court or gym… or anywhere else! What is Spikeball? It’s a competitive 2-on-2 game similar to volleyball. How To Play Spikeball: The teams face off with the net between them. One player starts a point by serving the ball down at the net so that it ricochets up towards his opponents. They have up to three hits between them (just like in Volleyball) to control the ball and also bounce it back off the net back to the first team. If they can’t do this, the first team scores a point. If they do hit it back, the rally commences! There are no boundaries in this game. After the point/rally begins, players are allowed to move all around the net as needed. How To Win Spikeball: It’s very similar to volleyball in that the points are scored whenever the ball hits the ground or whenever a team can’t spike it back within 3 hits. The first team to 21 wins! What’s Included? This official Spikeball set comes with balls, net, and bag. There are 3 durable balls in the set (although you play with only 1… the 2 extras are spares). There is also a needle included for inflating the balls to your desired pressure – the higher the balls are inflated, but faster and more intense the game. The hoola-hoop sized net has collapsible legs (both for easy storage and to allow you to make the net perfectly level), and a net whose tension you can also adjust to your preference: more bounce for newer players, less for more experienced.
