Assistance Fixing Weaknesses - Kehrenok4u2 - Aug 13, 2015 Tomorrow I am competing in my first VGC tourney, really looking for any last day changes I should make (items, moves or changing entire pokemon). A few issues I know of is high speed ice moves, speed in general, and a lack of a fighting or psychic presence on my team. All constructive feedback is appreciated. Klefki @ Light Clay Ability: Prankster Level: 50 EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Reflect - Light Screen - Dazzling Gleam - Foul Play Garchomp @ Assault Vest Ability: Rough Skin Level: 50 EVs: 5 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature IVs: 0 SpA - Dragon Claw - Earthquake - Rock Slide - Fire Fang Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers Ability: Levitate Level: 50 EVs: 240 HP / 188 Def / 80 SpD Calm Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Hydro Pump - Charge Beam - Will-O-Wisp - Protect Amoonguss @ Black Sludge Ability: Regenerator Level: 50 Shiny: Yes EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA Bold Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Sludge Bomb - Giga Drain - Spore - Protect Greninja @ Expert Belt Ability: Protean Level: 50 EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Timid Nature IVs: 0 Atk - Dark Pulse - Ice Beam - Grass Knot - Shadow Sneak Talonflame @ Life Orb Ability: Gale Wings Level: 50 EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Adamant Nature IVs: 0 SpA - Brave Bird - Tailwind - Protect - Flare Blitz Additional team ideas: 1) Sylveon, mega-aggron, swampert, amoonguss, talonflame, greninja. 2) Sylveon, Klefki, Rotom-wash, amoonguss, garchomp, greninja. RE: Assistance Fixing Weaknesses - Rogue - Aug 13, 2015 I recommend dropping Talonflame for Sylveon. Talonflame just isn't that good anymore; So many intimidate users + can't take out either of the genies (landorus + thundurus) heatran hard counters it, suicune OHKO's it, aegislash can of course kingshield a flare blitz; It's just too easy to prepare for now a days. Sylveon does more for your team, providing you a great offensive pressure while being bulkier than t-flame of course. T-flame just adds additional + new weaknesses to your team, while potentially doing nothing outside of setting up a tailwind. If you want a tailwind user, there's better choices. Suicune/Zapdos for example. I don't really know where else to go here, i'd need to know about each role your pokemon are filling + who is replaceable to you or not. Also you might wanna change some of these EV's. Amoongus is better off being bulky, not a special attacker for example. You also don't have a mega, which isn't always needed; but is nice to have. RE: Assistance Fixing Weaknesses - Kehrenok4u2 - Aug 13, 2015 Hey thanks for the feedback. Was originally running full bulk amoonguss but i was hitting a wall with fairy types but with sylveon replacing tflame i will switch back. As for roles i kindof don't know myself, really just looked on the doubles rated battles top played list and built around easier to obtain pokemon (non-legionaries) With sylveon replacing a physical attacker i assume greninja needs to become a physical attacker |
