Rogue's Team dump #1: Mega Fabio's trick room - Rogue - Aug 24, 2015

Dumping teams. Used this one long ago, laddered pretty high and got 2nd in an online tourney with it. Pretty fun, but kinda needs TR to win. Decent for B03 if they have nothing to stop it, really shines in B01.

Pretty nichze over all.
Not looking for an RMT or anything, like I said. Just dumping teams if anyone wants to try them out. Gonna dumb a team every few days or so, wanted to start with one of my favorite play styles: Trick Room and a dumb mega.

Anywho, start off with the best TR user evaaaah.
space moon duck thing.

Cresselia @ Mental Herb
Ability: Levitate
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 108 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Trick Room
- Protect
- Moonlight

Guess I'll start explaining things from start to bottom. Wanted a TR user, cress is the best. EZ. Went with mental herb to ensure trick room got up even if i was taunted. EV's are for super bulk, ill go over it in a sec. 0 IV's in speed and sassy nature to be the slowest. Ice beam is really just for the genies because I hate them. TR is obvious. Moonlight is to stay alive and keep setting up TR. Protect has a little bit more depth to it than you think. I used to have helping hand or psychic here. But I ran into a recurring problem with kang thundy lead. kang would fakeout cress and taunt it, getting rid of my herb and obviously being able to taunt next turn right away. So I had protect to stop that.

I actually used to have a good bit of special attack in here to ensure OHKO's on landorus, but as I fought better opponents I kept running into yache/AV and decided i'd settle for a 2HKO all the time for added bulk.

Defensive calcs:

252+ Atk Landorus-T Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 148 Def Cresselia: 68-80 (29.9 - 35.2%) -- 13.8% chance to 3HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Bisharp Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 148 Def Cresselia: 174-211 (76.6 - 92.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Aegislash-Blade Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 108+ SpD Cresselia: 114-134 (50.2 - 59%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Parental Bond Mega Kangaskhan Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 148 Def Cresselia: 126-150 (55.5 - 66%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 108+ SpD Cresselia: 146-174 (64.3 - 76.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Now for the Pokemon with the best hair in the game.

Ampharos-Mega @ Ampharosite
Ability: Mold Breaker
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Dragon Pulse
- Protect

I honestly didn't even bother with EV's. I lived just about everything i wanted anyhow, and some moves i would never live unless i dumped everything in hp and defense. i didnt want that. Not to mention anything that could take out Fabio, Fabio could OHKO first under trick room. So I stuck to max spa max hp, and im happy with it. Really simple build. STAB moves, hp ice for lando and friends & protect. /shrug he's pretty alright I guess.

Wooo, calcs:

252+ SpA Mold Breaker Mega Ampharos Dragon Pulse vs. 178 HP / 4 SpD Hydreigon: 206-246 (108.9 - 130.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

252+ SpA Mold Breaker Mega Ampharos Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 60 SpD Suicune: 168-200 (81.1 - 96.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Mold Breaker Mega Ampharos Thunderbolt vs. 236 HP / 12 SpD Milotic: 168-198 (84 - 99%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Mega Ampharos: 146-174 (74.1 - 88.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Mold Breaker Mega Ampharos Hidden Power Ice vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Landorus-T: 200-236 (102 - 120.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

You get the idea.
Time for some meta. We livin.

Heatran @ Safety Goggles
Ability: Flash Fire
Level: 50
EVs: 196 HP / 252 SpA / 60 SpD
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon
- Protect

Tired of seeing him yet? Too bad, he eats fairy's. <3 and I really needed something to stop sylveon. cress is gonna take big damage, and ampharos will die. Didn't want another ghost weakness through aegislash, so heatran was the pick.

Safety goggles was so amoonguss didnt run through me when trick room was up. Plus I really hate being put to sleep. So I wanna take it out as soon as possible. EV's are for big damage and bulk. Which is why I love TR, you can ignore putting in speed for power and bulk. Even though this playstyle is kinda dangerous.

Basic 3 moves + protect. Oh, and I'll always use flamethrower over heatwave. [:

C a l c b o y s:

252+ SpA Heatran Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 164 SpD Amoonguss: 168-200 (76 - 90.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Heatran Flamethrower vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 116-138 (69.4 - 82.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Voice vs. 196 HP / 60 SpD Heatran: 24-29 (12.5 - 15.1%) -- possibly the worst move ever

252+ SpA Politoed Scald vs. 196 HP / 60 SpD Heatran in Rain: 158-188 (82.7 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Ludicolo Scald vs. 196 HP / 60 SpD Heatran in Rain: 158-188 (82.7 - 98.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

My last 3 picks are a lot of fun. promise.

Togekiss @ Life Orb
Ability: Serene Grace
Level: 50
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Air Slash
- Shadow Ball
- Aura Sphere
- Protect

What do you know about life orb togekiss, son?
I wanted another way to dodge EQ, and I wanted something to hit kang, aegislash (incase i need to double in fear of weakness policy) and things like venusaur. So... Togekiss does all 3. While doing surprising damage, flinching things like a jerk, and just surprising people who think it's gonna be a defensive follow me set. Really happy with togekiss on this spot honestly. Thought about changing ev's for more bulk, but i never got around to it before the tourney and I liked the damage i got.
Anywho, I'll let the calcs do the stuff. Try this mon out, serene grace air slash is stupid.

Plus, togekiss's role wasnt really to ohko things. It was for nice support to double into targets. Although I have won games from flinching with airslash..
Pokemon, man.

252+ SpA Life Orb Togekiss Air Slash vs. 156 HP / 4 SpD Assault Vest Ludicolo: 117-140 (66.8 - 80%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Ludicolo Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Togekiss: 78-94 (40.6 - 48.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Togekiss Aura Sphere vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Kangaskhan: 125-148 (69 - 81.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Togekiss Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 76 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 83-99 (49.7 - 59.2%) -- 98.4% chance to 2HKO

252+ SpA Aegislash-Blade Flash Cannon vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Togekiss: 150-176 (78.1 - 91.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ SpA Life Orb Togekiss Air Slash vs. 180 HP / 132+ SpD Mega Venusaur: 125-148 (70.2 - 83.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Time for my main man.

Conkeldurr @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Iron Fist
Level: 50
EVs: 212 HP / 84 Atk / 124 Def / 88 SpD
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Protect
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Mach Punch

I don't remember where I got this EV spread? I sat here thinking for a while, but I don't remember.
Anywho, iron fist conkeldurr is amazing. Low attack for more bulk, since iron fist boosts your attack so much. I've also stopped using AV conk, it's just too good to be able to have protect on this monster. So easy to protect as cress sets up trick room and then body things. Like mega mence. or mega kang. <3

But uh, yeah. Standard punch moves. Used to run knock off, never really had a use for it. The best part of this is that if drain punch/ice punch doesnt OHKO; a followed up mach punch will. These calcs are without the sitrus berry, too.

look at this damage, tho:

84+ Atk Iron Fist Conkeldurr Mach Punch vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 86-104 (47.5 - 57.4%) -- 91.4% chance to 2HKO
we out here doing half to kang with a priority hit

252+ Atk Landorus-T Earthquake vs. 212 HP / 124 Def Conkeldurr: 69-82 (33.3 - 39.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252+ SpA Mega Gardevoir Psyshock vs. 212 HP / 124 Def Conkeldurr: 164-194 (79.2 - 93.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Parental Bond Mega Kangaskhan Double-Edge vs. 212 HP / 124 Def Conkeldurr: 153-181 (73.9 - 87.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

84+ Atk Iron Fist Conkeldurr Ice Punch vs. 244 HP / 108 Def Thundurus: 124-146 (67 - 78.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Sitrus Berry recovery

108 SpA Aerilate Mega Salamence Hyper Voice vs. 212 HP / 88 SpD Conkeldurr: 158-188 (76.3 - 90.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

84+ Atk Iron Fist Conkeldurr Ice Punch vs. 0 HP / 0 Def LV.1 Weedle: 1266-1490 (10550 - 12416.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
BIG DAMAGE

and now for the final mon.

Rhyperior (M) @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Solid Rock
Level: 50
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 SpD
Adamant Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Drill Run
- Rock Slide
- Protect
- Substitute

There was no real good reason for rhyperior here. I just wanted a ground and rock user, and he's super slow so I just kinda slapped him on here. Weakness policy kinda demolishes everything when it activates. I used to run ice punch over sub, but I figured I had enough ice coverage. (Yeah, I know. I hate the genies.) I've won a lot of games from protecting turn 1, getting up TR, then just doing work with rhyperior. Especially if WP activates since he has so many weaknesses. It's also fun to get up fast substitutes under TR, and ofc fast rock slides for big damage + flinch. Lemme show you the WP greatness.

252+ Atk Rhyperior Drill Run vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Shuca Berry Heatran: 152-180 (91.5 - 108.4%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO
even fast shuca berry tran can die to dr without a boost

252+ SpA Heatran Flash Cannon vs. 88 HP / 168 SpD Solid Rock Rhyperior: 141-168 (70.1 - 83.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
potentially enough for a sub here. if they arent max the sub is almost guaranteed

+2 252+ Atk Rhyperior Drill Run vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Shuca Berry Heatran: 218-260 (110.1 - 131.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO
nope

+2 252+ Atk Rhyperior Rock Slide vs. 244 HP / 108 Def Thundurus: 254-302 (137.2 - 163.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
this is on doubles field btw, it still gets OHKO'd

+2 252+ Atk Rhyperior Rock Slide vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Mega Charizard Y: 540-636 (291.8 - 343.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
lol

+2 252+ Atk Rhyperior Drill Run vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Aegislash-Shield: 188-224 (112.5 - 134.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO
not even shield can save you

+2 252+ Atk Rhyperior Drill Run vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Mega Kangaskhan: 159-187 (87.8 - 103.3%) -- 25% chance to OHKO

252+ Atk Parental Bond Mega Kangaskhan Low Kick (120 BP) vs. 88 HP / 0 Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 133-159 (66.1 - 79.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+2 252+ Atk Rhyperior Rock Slide vs. 108 HP / 24 Def Mega Salamence: 176-210 (95.6 - 114.1%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

So, yeah. Lead with cress and put up TR and bop things. Really simple, but surprisingly fun.

Honestly, if heatran, and sylveon weren't a thing he's be a little bit better. More usable if anything. Lando can be dealt with under TR, but I can't OHKO heatran or sylv with ampharos.

But I can't get t-waved by thundy, which is what I really love.

RE: Rogue's Team dump #1: Mega Fabio's trick room - Eckley - Aug 24, 2015

There's a distinct lack of swagger here. Get rid of this team and try again
