[VGC] Breloom Moveset - Physical Attacker/Disruptor - RebornFX - Oct 4, 2015 ![]() Credit to: All0412
Breloom, the mushroom pokemon. This mushroom kangaroo thing can pose a serious threat to an unprepared team. Having the fastest spore in the game, with technician boosted STAB priority, Breloom can be used to leave otherwise threatening Pokemon useless for a minimum of two turns with the correct support, while also providing offensive pressure and Fighting and Grass coverage. ![]() Type: Grass/Fighting Weaknesses: Ice (X2), Fairy (X2), Fire (x2), Poison (x2), Psychic (x2), Flying (X4) Resistances: Ground (X0.5), Rock (X0.5), Water (x0.5), Dark (x0.5), Grass (x0.5), Electric (x0.5), Abilities: Effect Spore - When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a move that makes contact, there is a 30% chance that the attacking Pokémon will be become paralyzed, asleep or poisoned. Effect Spore has a 9% chance of inducing poison, 10% chance of inducing paralysis, and 11% chance of inducing sleep. If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a multi-strike move that makes contact (such as Fury Swipes), each hit has an independent chance to activate this Ability. Grass-type Pokémon, Pokémon with Overcoat, and Pokémon holding the Safety Goggles are immune to Effect Spore. Poison Heal - If the Pokémon is poisoned or badly poisoned, it will gain 1/8 of its maximum HP at the end of each turn instead of taking damage. Technician - Technician increases the power of moves which have a power of 60 or less by 1.5×. For moves with variable power, Technician will only apply if the power is 60 or less when used. Thus, Pursuit will not get a Technician boost if the opposing Pokémon switches and Pursuit's power doubles to 80, and Low Kick and Grass Knot will only get a Technician boost if the target's weight is 49.9 kg or less. Similarly, if a move like Avalanche is used by a Pokémon previously damaged in the same turn, which doubles Avalanche's power to 120, then Technician will not be applied. Base Stats: 60 HP / 130 ATK / 80 DEF / 60 SpA / 60 SpD / 70 Spe Physical Attacker/Disruptor ![]() Breloom @ Focus Sash Ability: Technician EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe Jolly Nature - Spore - Mach Punch - Bullet Seed - Protect Due to Breloom's poor defensive typing and mediocre defences, a long with relatively slow speed tier, Breloom can easily be out sped and OHKOd. Focus Sash allows Breloom to survive one attack and get crucial Spores off. Investment in defensive stats would be a waste as there is little Breloom can be EVd to survive. For this reason, all available EVs have been invested in to attack and speed. A jolly nature is used to outspeed many pokemon, such as neutral max speed base 80s. If specific, important KOs are only achievable through an option which are more important than outspeeding and sporing Pokemon, an Adamant nature may be an option. The moveset is what you will find on practically every Breloom. Spore is the main draw to using Breloom to make a Pokemon useless for at least a turn (I would recommend playing as if Spore only puts a Pokemon to sleep for a turn). Bullet seed allows Breloom to deal with bulky waters and ground types. Mach punch allows Breloom to pick off weakened enemies and OHKO Bisharp and weaken Tyranitar. Protect allows Breloom to not take damage for a turn while its partner deals with a threat or to simply scout.
