Official Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth Item Thread - Delta - Oct 31, 2015

  Hello all! Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth released with over a hundred new items, and this thread will be dedicated to recording and documenting all of the items (or at least like, ten). Before I go on, I must warn that there will be spoilers, so turn back if you want to find out everything for yourself.


**SPOILERS AHEAD**




  If you find a new item, and you know what it does, please post it here. If you can get a screenshot, that is amazing, but if not, you just need to state what it does and what item pool it is from (and how much it costs). If you can find (or infer) cool synergies, I encourage you posting them here as well. I encourage the use of the spoiler tag, so that the item description looks like this:

I will update the thread with items as often as I can. This isn't just about items, however. We can talk about anything Afterbirth related. Want to complain about how OP Ultra Greed is? Go ahead. Items:
  • Glowing Hourglass

    Item Type: Spacebar
    Effect: Completely resets isaac to the previous room.
    Pool: Shop
    Charge time: 2

  • Glass Cannon

    Item Type: Spacebar
    Effect: Fires 1 large spectral / piercing tear at speculated 10x damage, keeps all a tear effects. Empties red heart containers to 1/2 a heart
    Pool: Item Room
    Charge time: 1 (recharges within room)

  • 9 Inch nails

    Item type: passive
    Effect: Changes tears to nails. Damage (speculated) and knock-back
    Pool: Item room

  • Binky

    Item type: Passive
    Effect: Size down, tear rate up
    Pool: Boss room

  • Placebo

    Item type: Spacebar
    Effect: Pill mimic (blank card for pills)
    Pool: Shop
    Charge time: 4

  • Deadeye

    Item type: passive
    Effect: damage multiplier (speculated similar to bloody lust) increased with every successful shot. Counts breakables as enemies.
    Pool: Item room
    Potential synergies: Single shot big damage items- Notably sacred heart for the homing. I've already had a polyphemus / deadshot / chocolate milk run today and that was all the damage I needed to take down blue baby easily

  • Chaos (a crazy one here)

  • Diploma

    Item type: Spacebar
    Effect: Doubles every item (pedestal and usable in the room (a jera on roids)
    Pool: shop
    Charge time: single use

  • Car Battery

    Effect: Whenever you use your Spacebar item, it is used twice at the same time. For example, if you use Guppy's Head, twice as many flies would come out.
    Pool: Shop (15 Cents)

  • Scatter bombs

    Description: We put bombs in your bombs.
    Effect: +5 bombs. Your bombs split into smaller bombs after exploding.

    It's a baby follower that follows you with 1-2 seconds delay.
    It doesn't shoot anything but if you shoot at it,it extends your tears range.Here is example:

    Mr. Dolly


    Range up.Tears up.
    Spawns three random hearts (red/soul/black) on pickup.

    Range+luck

    Gotta catch 'em all
    Spacebar item
    Whenever you kill an enemy you gain 1 fly in your jar(max 20).When you use it,you send attacking blue flies.

    Tear/Fire Rate gradually increases as you shoot in one direction.
    Tears/Fire Rate returns to original value if you stop firing,change firing direction, or are hit.

    Crack jack


    Grants Isaac a full heart container.
    Spawns one random Trinket.

    Pupula duplex

    Widens Isaac's tears, increasing their hitbox.
    Grants spectral tears.

    Range up+Tear height
    Tears travel over rocks.They also pass walls and appear at opposite wall.

    Duplicate your followers for the current room.
    Lilith starts with this item.

Maybe. But there is a small following of BoI fans here, and there was a unanimous vote (as in 2 out of 2 people indicated they wanted this) so, here we are.

We try to reach out to all kinds of people and different kinda games like how we stream all tons of games that's aren't pokemon on the forum twitch channel. I personally love binding of Isaac and love the idea of this thread Smile

I got a few coming up, though all of the effects are speculated.

Glowing Hourglass

I just started it now and killed Greed with Isaac.Here are a couple of things that i find;

Car battery

Doubles the effect of activated item.
It doesn't overcharge your spacebar item like "The battery".
I was using D6 and it doesn't do anything with it.

Chaos

Passive item
Combines all item pools into one.
I found ceremonial robes in treasure room for example.
