International Pokémon League | SING UP CLOSED - sjihttam1996 - Dec 22, 2015

Hallo everyone,

I successively set up a competitive league over the last couple of months. We just finished our first season and for the second season we are looking for some coaches because not all of the coaches want to participate in the second season and we wanted to play with more coaches than season 1.

You can find the rules of the league down below, if you are interested to join us leave a comment with the following informative:
your showdown name, your team name, your time zone and your skype name.
So for example myself: sjihttam1996, Nijmegen Nuzleafs, CET (+1), Matthijs Veraart.

We currently have 14 coaches and we are looking for 14 up to 18 coaches.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
The Rules

1. Match Rules
*You can only use 6 of the 12 Pokémons you have drafted (see 3. Draft Rules)
*You cannot use a Pokémon twice in one team
*All matches will be played on Pokémon Showdown (play.pokemonshowdown.com)
*All matches will be standard OU rules with timer on
*After a battle is over, a (link of the) replay video of the battle must be sent to host personally on Skype by one of the coaches
*You have to finish every battle: each forfeit will be punished with 1 point deduction

2. League Rules
*The league will have 14 to 18 coaches (teams)
*Every team will face the other teams once
*The schedule will be randomly generated by the host
*All the matches will be played on Saturday, you and your opponent have to find a fitting time for both of you because of time zones. If you cannot play on a pacific Saturday, you and your opponent have to find a different day to battle before the next round
*Each win will give you 1 point
*After the last round, the 4 teams with the most points will be going to the semifinals. The number 1 will face the number 4 and the numbers 2 and 3 will face each other. The winners will be playing the final.
*When 2 teams have the same amount of points, the team with the highest differential (differential = amount of pokémons knock-out the whole season – amount of your pokémons how where knock-out during the season) will be ranked higher

3. Draft Rules
*The order of the draft will be randomly generated by the host at least one day before the draft
*Every coach can pick three Pokémons form each Smogon tier (3 OU, 3 UU, 3 RU and 3 PU/NU)
*PU and NU will be one tier (see rule above)
*For each tier, a new order will be generated
*The order will be used snake wise (after every coach picked one Pokémon in a certain tier, the same order of picking will be used again but this time backwards. For the third pick, the same order of pick 1 will be used)
*During the draft you cannot choose a Mega Pokémon (after the last PU/NU picking round every coach can choose one of their chosen Pokémons who might mega evolve during the league. This does not mean that this Pokémon has to mega evolve but it is the only Pokémon who can during the whole season)
*A particular Pokémon can only be chosen once ((pre-)evolutions can)
*Pokémon with multiple forms count as different Pokémons (for example, all the Rotoms will be different Pokémons)
*If you want to use a Mega that is in a higher tier then the regular Pokémon (for example Medicham), you have to pick that Pokémon in his Mega tier (in our example, you have to pick Medicham as a OU Pokémon) otherwise you can’t use his Mega evolution.

4. Other Rules
*Respect each other: offensive messages in any way will be punished with point deduction or even disqualification
*You can trade Pokémons with the other coaches, the two Pokémons who will be trade have to be in the same tier
*A Mega Pokémon can only be traded for another Mega Pokémon (in the same tier)
*A trade must be send to the host 24 hours before your next match to complete the trade
*You cannot replace one of your picked Pokémons for a not picked Pokémon
*You cannot trade after the last round before the semifinals
