My Favorite pokemon has to be Empoleon because back when I played Diamond and Pearl, it never left my party. I had it as a piplup all the way until the Elite Four, and it just such a cool looking mon.

Now, my favourite pokemon had always been bulbsaur ever since the beginning of pokemon. Most of the players would pick charmanders because it can turn into a badass flying dragon or squirtle because of the cool guns. Hence, I always pick it as I feel it needs some love. Furthermore, in the anime, bulbsaur had shown its unique characteristic by refusing to evolve and ends up saving the day, which is so memorable that I still remember up till today. 
Gamewise, it had also been very effective in clearing the early stages of the game back then. Not to mention its actually quite decent due to its HA and ability after mega evolving! Give the bulbsaur some love!
