[S/M] Masuda Method Question!!!!

Sooo, I've been hatching for a shiny Deino for bout two days now. I'm breeding it with a 5 IV Ditto. I had just remembered about reading an article about if you switch the Pokemon you're breeding with in the daycare you lose your chain. I swapped out just my Deino for a different Deino that had better IV's.

Now, did I lose my chain or is it like the previous game where there wasn't a chain at all? It was basically like 1/xxxx right? 

Idk please help, I'm gonna rage if I lost this chain.

nah, just keep trying, you only have bad luck, switching pokemons in the daycare doesnt matter in the chain, in fact, there isnt chain at all so dont worry about that
