If you were trying to figure out the information of a location/place in terms of gifts or the name rater, then it isn't practically cheating. However, if you are looking up the Pokemon's stat distribution in terms of speed, power, and/or defense, then I think it's "cheating" because it's like you want your pokemon to survive as much as possible even though the whole purpose of a nuzlocke is to get through the difficulty til the very end. . . I'm not a nuzlocke player so I just assume if that's the case.
