[ORAS] I believe I have found a glitch

So I was doing super single battles at the battle resort in pokemon alpha saphire with a team of a mega kang, chansey, and Noivern. The trainer had a mismagius that had taunt and I had my chansey out that got taunted. I switched to the noivern has mismagius protected and when noivern got in there he couldn't use taunt or protect because it said he was taunted. What makes this even more strange is that then the mismagius used taunt on the noivern and it worked.
