It shouldn't be the spelling, I just checked it and it was correct. In any case, I am changing the deposited Emolga for a japanese one. (All my requests, including this new one, were level-locked to 1-10, but I don't think this is the problem, since the Ho-Oh is a lvl 5 one...)
