To celebrate Good ol' Saint Patricks Day, I will be throwing my First Ever Competition, and one with a very Fun Idea if I do say so Myself.

Allow me to explain this here Competition,

This will be a Double Style Battle Competition with all the battles done on Pokemon Showdown (you know that battle simulator thingy). You will have a full team of 6 pokemon but will only be allowed to bring 4 to match. This is a pretty major rule, being that YOU CAN ONLY USE POKEMON WITH A MAINLY GREEN SHINY FORM. THAT'S RIGHT, ONLY GREEN SHINY POKEMON.

Some other Important rules include:

Item and Species Clause
Mega Pokemon are allowed, however there are some strict rules about them that I will point out later
You may only have one Z- Crystal on your team

To help all of you guys out I have looked at all of the 800+ Shiny Sprites and compiled a list of all the legal pokemon, which can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1N3TB...zMnIs/edit
A couple of things that went into making this list was the amount of green that was on a pokemon, for example take these two pokemon here:

Only one of these two pokemon are legal in this Tournament, that being Espeon. Vikavolt on the other hand may have green details on the two blades and his eyes, but the main part of his body is in fact silver, so he isn't allowed in this Format.

Reguarding Mega Pokemon there are a few rules about them too:

Have a mainly green Mega Evolved Form
Be the only pokemon on your team with a Mega Stone
It must Mega Evolve the first time it takes a move, for example:
- If you have a Mega Sableye, you must have it evolve rather than using the regular form to abuse Prankster, However if you swap out rather than making a move is Ok

Hey everyone, if you read the title you probably have a good idea of what the tournament is about but I'll explain it anyways: the Middle Cup is a tournament where trainers will battle using only middle evolutions, giving those often forgotten Pokémon a chance to shine!

Rules:

1- Only middle evolutions are allowed. Rhydon, Chansey, Porygon2, Dusclops and Doublade are banned due to their massive stats compared to most other middle evolutions. Here is a list of usable Pokémon, if I messed up anything please let me know!

2- The battling format will be VGC-style doubles, however, a few clauses have been added/modified; the evasion clause (no evasion boosting moves) and the OHKO moves clause (no one-hit ko moves allowed) have been added. The item clause is removed, but you can only use 3 Eviolites per team.

3-The tournament will be held Saturday, January 6th at 3 PM EST.

4-The matches will be played on Pokémon Showdown!

Hello, everybody! It's 0kamii, and yes, you read that right! Amethyst 0mega is hosting its very first tournament!

After the huge turn-out of the Spooky Cup last month, the breeders of your favorite breeding guild wanted to step in and take our turn to try and bring the community here at PokémonForever even closer! Thus, it's been decided that the next site tournament is going to be in a new format that we've created known as Little Hail Cup! The rules for this new tournament are very simple, and you can find them below.

The Rules:
1.) Only unevolved Ice-Type pokémon are allowed.
2.) Pokémon that do not evolve (Delibird, Cryogonal, Rotom-Fridge, etc.) are banned.
3.) A pokémon immune to hail via ability is allowed, but ONLY if they possess that ability. It is otherwise banned.
4.) All applicable Smogon Clauses apply, including Evasion, Species, Item, Self-KO, Sleep, and One-hit KO.
5.) Tournament will be held in VGC-style Doubles format (level 50 all). Each match will be 4 v 4, best of 3.
6.) It is mandatory for every participating team to have one, and only one, legal hail setter (Vulpix-Alola, Snover, or Amaura).
7.) The tournament will be held on cart. By request, the tournament will be held on the Sun and Moon games, not Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.
8.) Tournament will be held on Tuesday, December 19th at 2pm EST. Use Google to convert times if you're unsure of when 2pm is in your timezone.
9.) Have fun! Big Grin

The Sneasel evolution line has been banned because it was originally intended to be an unevolving pokémon, and thus has a base stat total double that of the rest of the format. Snow Cloak is also prohibited under the Evasion clause, as not to leave battles to chance. Furthermore, the pokémon Seel, Shellder, Pineco, Burmy, Sewaddle, Solosis, Shelmet, Vullaby, and Jangmo-o are permitted to enter but ONLY if they have their immunizing abilities (i.e. Overcoat/Ice Body).

The move Relic Song is banned as it changes Meloetta into Aria Forme.
No duplicate Pokémon on a team eg. a team with 2 Slowbrows is disallowed.
No duplicate items on a team (multiple z-crystals are allowed just no duplicates).
Only one mega stone allowed on a team.
You are not allowed to change your team once the tournament starts.
Showdown battles must be left public.
The winner of each battle must post the link to the Showdown replays as proof in this thread.

Welcome to the Pokémon Forever Tiny Tourney After-Party! A tournament hosted by myself and to give players the chance to use the teams that they built once more, or for anyone that will miss out on the actual tournament to try out the format. The tournament will be held at 7pm bst on Wednesday the 29th of June, on Showdown and will use Challonge to organise each round. Preliminary rounds will be held as best of 1 and the semifinals and final will be best of 3. This is open to trainers of all skill levels and hopefully will be fun for all involved!

The Rules:

Only Pokémon 1 meter (3.03" inches) or smaller are allowed.
Mega stones Are banned.
Mythical Pokémon are banned.
No duplicate Pokémon or items on a team
You are NOT allowed to change your team after your first battle.
Showdown battles must be left public.
The winner of each battle MUST pm one of the hosts with the result + a link to the Showdown replay as proof.

The Rules:

1. Only water type Pokémon allowed.....obviously Smile

2. You are only allowed to have one of the following Pokémon on your team: Mega Blastoise, Kyogre/Primal Kyogre, Mega Slowbro, Mega Gyrados, Mega Sharpedo, Palkia, Keldeo or Volcanion.
3. The following Pokémon are banned: Arcus, Silvally, Type: Null and Mega Swampert (as the Mega stone hasn't been released yet).
4. No duplicate Pokémon on a team eg. a team with 2 Greninjas is disallowed.
5. No duplicate items on a team (multiple z-crystals are allowed just no duplicates).
6. Only one mega stone allowed on a team.
7. You are allowed to change your team between battles.
8. You are not allowed to change your team in the middle of a best of three eg. the finals.
9. Both players are required to save battle videos of every game they play with the winner posting the video code in this thread as proof.

Group Stages:

This tournament will start with all of the participants in a single group. This will run for one week (Thursday 25th of May to Thursday 1st of June). Everyone in the group will get to play each other in a best of 1, with the highest scoring two moving on to the final! The scoring system is as follows: win = 2 points, draw = 1 point, loose = 1 point
In the event of a draw at the end of the group stage, then the two drawing participants will battle in a best of 3 with the winner advancing into the final, which will also be held in a best of 3.
Each player is required to organise a time and date for their battles with their opponents!

The order of play for each participant is:

Overview

Alright today we announce on April 9th, 2017 6:00 pm EDT in less than one week, we'll be hosting a live VGC Tournament here at the Pokemon Forever Forum Channel on on our official Twitch Channel. We are going attempt to stream all the matches that take place within the tournament to showcase the battlers we have here. For anyone who is confused about the format of the tournament, here's the quick rundown. First off, everyone must comply to the VGC 2017 rulesets and use only Alolan Dex Pokemon caught, breed, or obtain in SuMo. There will be about a limit of 32 people to enter in this tournament with a potential waitlist in case certain participates decide not to battle or take part. Rounds 1, 2, and potentially 3 will be best of one, however the Semifinals and grand finals will be best of three. Given that these battles will be streamed, decided between the two battlers who to report battle codes to the corresponding moderators. As per prior tournaments, all participating players must have a copy of Pokemon Sun/Moon, a proper VGC 2017 team, and the VGC 2017 rules downloaded on Festive Plaza. If this wasn't clear enough, yes this will be based on cartridge play. As a reminder, our number one goal for this tournament is for all participates and viewers is to have fun and a good time either watching or partaking in the battles.

Will like to reiterate this point. Since this is going to be a live broadcasted tournament, everyone who's going to partake in this before if they are 100% available for start to finish. For those battling, be sure to report the battle codes to the proper moderators / tournament organizers so that we can move along as quick as possible. Tournament Rules

Here are some rules and some regulations about the tournament. Please read through when considering to join.

- As far as pokemon legality goes, you can bring any pokemon as long as it complies to VGC 2017 rules and aren't obvious hacks (ie over 510+ evs, illegal movesets/abilities/Pokemon). Likewise, don't want people to assert claims about the opposing team not being "legit" and I want this tourney to run smoothly.

-NO ONE IS ALLOWED to change or alter their Pokemon no matter what (IN-GAME), or at least based on stats/coverage (Showdown). If someone is "caught" doing so via battle videos, then the player is automatically disqualified.

-Disconnections: If there is a disconnection in the battle, both players are entitled to have another match with their conditions (same leads, different mons), without any penalties. However if it is notice that one of the Player's internet connection isn't working properly, the person with the infrequent internet connection will be forced to drop after three tries. If someone disconnects while the battle outcome is bluntly obvious (ex. 3-4 healthy/capable Pokemon while opponent has 1-2 [if both have status] low health pokemon and gets outspeed), they lose their match automatically (not the round itself).

-Showdown Rules: "If" this is a Showdown tourney, please message the player you're suppose to fight and initial a battle ASAP. Each round has about 30 minutes to complete. Players can elect the use of the Showdown timer, however if it does down to zero, the person who either disconnected or timed out loses their first match (if Bo3. Note: Remember to give us your Showdown name for the tournament as well.

-NOTE: I will be working on this thread and the challonge page throughout the weekend so stay tune for updates.

Following the success of the last January VGC Tournament (and another long hiatus), today we announce the third VGC tournament for March 19 2017 at about 5:00 pm EST. In terms of the basics, we'll here's a bit of a rundown of the rules. First off, the number one goal for these tournaments is that everyone has fun at the end of the day, meanwhile ensuring that these are run as smoothly as possible. As mentioned, the Tournament will be based on VGC 17 rules, basically Alolan Dex with now all possible egg moves with the addition of Pokemon Bank. The amount of particpates will be limited to about 32 people for this tournament, with a potential waitlist if we get more particpates. Rounds one, two, and potentially three will be Bo1, meanwhile semifinals and finals of this tournament will be a Bo3. You don't nessesary have to "report" battle codes until reaching the top 8 of the tournament. The tournament be based on cartrige play, so have Pokemon Sun / Moon with a proper VGC 17 team ready, and the VGC 17 rules "downloaded" prior. Everyone who's participating in the tournament must be in the Pokemon Forever's Discord Channel and comply with the chatroom rules as well. Welcome one and all to the first 2017 OU tournament of PokemonForever! Ill be your lovely host in this exciting event! (note: this is my first time ever hosting a tournament so please take it easy on me :3) This tournament will take place on February 11th at 2pm EST on Pokemon Showdown, you can find it here, you can either use the website of download the app it is up to you. I will be using Challonge.com for this event so make sure you have an account on that site in order to participate.

Check Ins for the tournament will start an hour previous to the tournament start time so make sure you check in, i will be reminding and promoting this tournament during the next 2 weeks as well.

Also I understand emergencies happen, but try and make sure if you sign up, that youll be able to make it to keep this event running as smoothly as possible.

THE RULES

Here is a list of some of the rules, failure to follow these may result in a lost, or disqualification from the event.

1. The event is going to be based of Singles OU, so no pokemons in the Ubers tier are allowed, but pokemons from lower tiers are. If you are unfamiliar with the OU tier it can be found here

2. You are allowed to have a max of 3 diferent teams that you can use in this event, you are allowed to switch teams in between rounds, you must submit your teams before the tournament starts and you are not allowed to alter them during the tournament so choose wisely.

3. If a player disconnects it will be a loss, unless the non disconected opponent allows for a rematch.

4. This Tournament will follow smogon match clauses, so no moody ability, no OHKO moves, a player cannot put 2 or more pokemons to sleep, and you can only have 1 of each species of pokemons in your team for (example 2 Gengars), also no evasion raising moves are allowed (Minimize, Double Team, etc)

5. No Coaching allowed, players suspected of being coached will be disqualified, lets have a fair and fun tournament Smile

6. No Ghost battling, do not let anyone else play your matches or you will be disqualifed.

7. It will be single elimination best of 1, Finals will be a best of 3.

8. No salt will be tolerated, this is ment to be a fun event no need to get triggered we are all here to just play some pokemans. At the end of the day this is just a game. Blush

*IMPORTANT*
In order to register your teams PM me a Pastebin of your 3 teams, deadline for this is 1 hour before the tournament is scheduled to start, if you fail to do this you will be locked to only 1 team and if you change your team without registering the other 2 you will be disqualified.
