I have two.
1 - As others said, no HMs in game! I didn't realize how much I hated the HM mechanic until it was gone.
2 - I think the addition of chaining was wonderful. It makes shiny hunting much less painful, and the bonus of better IVs and HAs after a certain number of tries definitely doesn't hurt.
