I still stand on my last post in this thread, but I think that it won't be region oriented but instead have an RNG factor to it. Example: Suppose you choose the Sinnoh region as the region you want your Pokemon to be from. The game will then choose for you, but it won't be just the starter, it will be any basic Pokemon, like you can get Pachirsu, or a Shellos, anything that is a basic Pokemon from your region.
