[DISCUSSION] Starting from Scratch

Hello everyone I decided to start from scratch on my Pokemon Y game.  Sadly I've lost my Speed Boost Blaziken but tbh I didn't know what I was doing in competitive Pokemon.  So here's my question should I just enjoy playing through Y and then when I complete the game start focusing my efforts there or should I be thinking as I play?

it'll be easier to get the pokemons you want with better ev's when you have access to every location and friend safaris, but you can also start getting their ev's while you finish the game. So think as you play specially when you get the nature you want for your pokemon, but hey it's just my opinion.
