Error message when trying to trade

I am new to pokemon. I haven't played since gen 1. I am trying to do wonder trade and no one is doing that so I am trying to trade with players thru PSS. When a trade is agreed on I am getting the error message "there is a pokemon that cannot be traded in your party". Any help would be great. I have been trying to trade a shiny ditto, also a shiny pickachu.
