Welcome! You can change your profile picture by clicking User Settings up in the top left next to logout. On the left side, there will be a list of options. You want to click Change Avatar.

I'm wondering, where is the terminology thread here?
I'm confused with these "LF"/"Sniped" words.

welcome to the site! i dont think there is a glossary thread to answer your question but i could be wrong LF stand for Looking For and sniped is a term people use on the gts if you deposit a pokemon and someone else trades you for that deposited pokemon without you getting what you wanted from say a giveaway. hope i could clear that up for you
