Help on which game to Buy

I need help on deciding on weather buying pokemon pearl/diamond or buying platnuim or to buy black/white

I would say Platinum over diamond and pearl and as far as black or white I would suggest black 2 or white 2

Unlike Platinum being an "enhanced version" of Pearl and Diamond, Black 2 and White 2 are sequels. I think in order to understand and enjoy the story in those you should really have played Black and White first. If you want Reshiram, get Black. If you rather have Zekrom, get White.
For 4th Gen, I agree with 8-Bit Crow, since Platinum has both Dialga and Palkia available AFAIK, as well as Giratina in Origin and Altered formes.
