After months of speculation Game Freak Have finally announced that they are going to be releasing Pokemon Crystal in the new year! It will be released on January the 26th 2018 and there will be both a boxed and e-shop versions. Game Freak also confirmed that the GS Ball event will be available in the Japanese version but haven't said if it will be in the European and American versions. This is great news for shiny hunters as the only way to obtain a shiny Celebi is through this event, which up until now there has been no way to transfer past gen 2 games.
