Vibrant battles from the era of Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2 await in the Unova Classic! Prepare for thrilling Triple Battles where all six Pokémon on your team will enter each match. Put together a team using the first 649 Pokémon in the National Pokédex—that is, every Pokémon you could originally encounter in the first five Pokémon regions.

Restricted Legendary Pokémon and all Mythical Pokémon will not be allowed. No Pokémon may hold a Mega Stone or Soul Dew.

All qualified participants in the Unova Classic will receive a Darmanitan just like the one the mysterious N had at his side in Pokémon Black Version 2 and Pokémon White Version 2. As a former leader within Team Plasma, N’s peculiar thoughts on the relationship of humans and Pokémon make him a special character in Pokémon lore. Darmanitan has always been near and dear to the enigmatic N. This powerful Pokémon knows Thrash, Belly Drum, Flare Blitz, and Hammer Arm, and has the Zen Mode Hidden Ability, which adds the Psychic type to Darmanitan when the Pokémon’s HP dips below 50%.

All battles will be played in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. You may bring in Pokémon from earlier games via Poké Transporter. All Pokémon above Lv. 50 will be set to Lv. 50 for the duration of the match.

Registration for the Unova Classic Online Competition begins Thursday, August 18, 2016, at 00:00 UTC. You’ll need a Pokémon Trainer Club account and your own copy of the Pokémon Omega Ruby or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire video game with a party of eligible Pokémon. And you’ll need to read and accept the regulations on the Pokémon Global Link before the battle period begins on August 26 at 00:00 UTC.

For more information on the Unova Classic Online Competition, keep checking Pokemon.com and the Pokémon Global Link!
The minute you think of giving up, think of the reason why you held on so long.
