[RATE MY TEAM] Firepower!!!!!!!!!11111
#1
So hi guys i am back with another team update i posted recently (this is something i am getting success with alot in the past few days or so). the team has a mega sableye *YAAAY* yeah i know some of the readers left at this point, but congrats if you stay and if you read my intros too though Smile so without further ado let's jump into this crazy team: *lol i didn't rewroe the post and added parts to it, sorry if it feels something you've read before :P* The subject of this team was quite misunderstood, however this time i changed it's name to focus it over to heatran-ish thing. *Who said you can't build around non-megas.

The Team:

So mega sableye started as soon as i heard some people saying that it gives up the most important ability *prankster* and acquires some of the  most useless abilities in the game. well! at that very moment i was inspired by my own stupid mind to pull together a team with mega sableye. Dont get me wrong here, sableye isn't the star of the team, i just glues together a team around it well, in means of support.
Sableye is an understated pokemon and even worse as it's mega is a troll literally and it is completely considered a joke. well there were some things that inspired me to use mega sableye, so without boring u guys to death let's get started on what this sableye contributes to my team:
. Bounces back thundurus taunts, or from any other one's even any status moves (spore, dark void and anything threatening to think of, by surprise (it actually is good)
. provides the best weather disruption (for heatran and salamence, against rain)
. Shuts down any attackers with snarl and W-o-W.
. Walls mega kang more than perfect. (the most popular)
. Punishes TR in the form of snarl and W-o-W + their setter with toxic.
. It works really good against the most popular CHALK core

Ok i think mega sableye is quite explained much here. the spread is supposed to be for a standard sableye in the meta, for some games were i avoided m-evolving it and brought it as a secondary option for back up support. It's only weakness *fairy* is covered up by heatran.

252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 212 Def Mega Sableye: 102-120 (64.9 - 76.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
*this calc shows how bulky it is, else i switch out while facing faeries into a heatran or something*

*HEATRAN IS THE START OF THE TEAM*
Next comes the pokemon i wanted to try out with m-sableye. sableye can support to to it's fullest potential. b activating the sun and the using it's will-o-wisp to activate the amazing flash fire it has and then walls others from OHKO'ing it, heatran sure did took alot of games through this simple tactic.
Heatran's stats and EV'ing have always gave me problems against mirror-matches and the speed it reached, so i gave it a scarf to outspeed most of the metagame. i don't have any Hp-ice on it cuz swampert is the boss of em all. Someone mentioned imaginary synergy of m-/sableye and heatran, but it works out perfectly in some games.Heatran now being faster behinf sun an flash fire boosts can ruin any matchup against them, with such investment it outspeeds breloom, m-metagross and most importantly m-kang and attacks once before going down to them, which sure becomes significant later in the games.

*heatran is supposed to spread damage every where s general damage, 2Hko'es faeries and OHKO'es amoongus and aegi with overheat*

Next up is a pokemon inspired from one of my favorites on the pokemon scene Ashton Cox, surprisingly it should've lost viability but it was present on Ashton's both VGC14 and VGC15 Worlds team , so i wanted to give it a try. it formed a reasonably good synergy around heatran and sableye. you guys can't imagine the power of this mon. Ashton had a CB on his mon but i went for life orb as it suited my playstyle much better and gave me options against multiple opponents out on the field. *the end to all rotoms*
Staraptor wasn't bad at all, it just took some time to get used to it. Staraptor sure is the frailest thing u ever met on the field. staraptor can speed tie or win with simple 252/252/4 EV's as it is a base 100 mon. Staraptor's power is unimaginable and sure it does get's a OHKO whenever brought into the match, if left unchecked it surely gives the win to me.

252 Atk Life Orb Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Amoonguss: 273-322 (123.5 - 145.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Kangaskhan: 181-214 (100 - 118.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Staraptor Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 108 Def Ferrothorn: 125-148 (69 - 81.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Life Orb Staraptor Close Combat vs. 252 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 255-302 (123.1 - 145.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Staraptor Close Combat vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Heatran: 161-192 (96.4 - 114.9%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Staraptor Close Combat vs. 140 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 185-218 (100 - 117.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
-1 252 Atk Life Orb Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 68 Def Scrafty: 172-203 (100 - 118%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Life Orb Reckless Staraptor Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 240+ Def Mega Venusaur: 195-229 (104.2 - 122.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega salamence is a pokemon that is just a throw on. i wanted a secondary mega mon, cuz a support mega 100% isn't so the idea for any team i think. salamence makes a good secondary option as a mega, nor did it had any success in many matches. i choose it to deal heavy damage, sableye provided fairly good support by turning around ludicolo's advantage, Whereas comes the change in the moveslot that was DD i changed it for rock slide, to get away with fast rock slide flinch hax (if ever) and then i also reviewed the team and there surely was no way to defeat a known charizard, rock slide patches up the slot perfectly, as well as providing bits of spread damage cover.

252 Atk Mega Salamence Dragon Claw vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Hydreigon: 164-194 (97.6 - 115.4%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Double-Edge vs. 4 HP / 0 Def Garchomp: 151-178 (82 - 96.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
* you know it's deal too, do damage, stay n the field, etc and stuff *

Thanks alot to Aaron Zheng for showing me the power of this pokemon, it does alot against the metagame. It stops the geni's at an instance, deals with aegislash and heatran, walls stuff and much more, is m-salamence a thing now? i looked up for swampert EV spreads in nuggetbridge reports and came across this spread twice in a row *and this spread is something mostly people are using their swamperts like* i also changed the item to expert belt which came in handy more than the safe safe rindo berry and i do get some good switch in cover ups for the quadruple weakness to the not so popular grass type as well as countering them with   it also shuts down fairies better than a pokemon with wide guard *hyper voices intended* and more spread moves that every team carries in some form i don't have regrets from it. absorbs electric types, ice types and water from the quartz mentioned above. Handles especially double genis like an absolute boss.

228+ SpA Expert Belt Swampert Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Aegislash-Shield: 108-130 (64.6 - 77.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
228+ SpA Expert Belt Swampert Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 108 SpD Heatran: 259-307 (130.8 - 155%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Aerilate Mega Salamence Return vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Swampert: 133-157 (64.2 - 75.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
228+ SpA Expert Belt Swampert Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 84 SpD Mega Salamence: 202-240 (100 - 118.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
228+ SpA Expert Belt Swampert Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Landorus-T: 163-192 (98.7 - 116.3%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO
228+ SpA Expert Belt Swampert Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Thundurus: 122-144 (78.7 - 92.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
228+ SpA Expert Belt Swampert Earth Power vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Tyranitar in Sand: 101-122 (57.3 - 69.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

This might be the biggest change I made to a team of mine. I needed a kang counter (even if bulked it out slow) which I first fulfilled with the slot of ferrothron and also wanting to give me better chances to rain and TR, but being an idiot I am I was actually double checking the same damn things that I hated and looking into the team over again and seeing why isn’t it working was for these reasons: not good speed control form, two pokemons being way too slow. And then came the thought that sableye takes out the things that I was countering with ferro. at the thought of icy wind, cresselia came to my mind. To counter kang with it further I gave it the combination of rocky helmet + moonlight, then added the perfect speed control and general psychic stuff. Cresselia is consistent than ferrothorn and doesn’t gain any disadvantage. Sill swap may not be the ideal thing but adds to the star of the team Heatran and disrupting opponents, it helped out twice in practice against a perish trap team. I needed a bit of power in my cress and wanted it to outspeed things like sylveon and stuff, things which are used in their slow forms, so there goes the EV’ing. OK this spread outspeeds rotom forms invested into 12 EV's to creep the 4 speed EV one's

252+ SpA Choice Specs Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 32+ SpD Cresselia: 156-186 (68.7 - 81.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Choice Band Bisharp Knock Off vs. 252 HP / 152 Def Cresselia: 134-162 (59 - 71.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ Atk Parental Bond Mega Kangaskhan Double-Edge vs. 252 HP / 152 Def Cresselia: 126-148 (55.5 - 65.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
36 SpA Cresselia Icy Wind vs. 124 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-T: 88-104 (48.8 - 57.7%) -- 93.8% chance to 2HKO
36 SpA Cresselia Icy Wind vs. 0 HP / 0- SpD Mega Salamence: 88-104 (51.7 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
36 SpA Cresselia Icy Wind vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Mega Salamence: 80-96 (46.7 - 56.1%) -- 71.5% chance to 2HKO
36 SpA Cresselia Psychic vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Amoonguss: 102-122 (46.1 - 55.2%) -- 63.3% chance to 2HKO *it is pathetic though*

Okay, we still do need damage calcs, because I can only assume that there is something very specific that Cresselia and Swampert where meant to outspeed and KO, as well as tank. I do like the idea of Mega Sableye, but it has the most power in singles, and, unless you run something crazy like Gravity with Hypnosis and Crobat, then there isn't really any reason to use it in doubles when 'mence is better. Of course, this is just my opinion. I want to know how you got the pictures for you Pokemon the way you do. That is so interesting. Of course, it is harder to import to Showdown, so I would not use that format.

EDIT:
I take back about what I said about Sableye. The battle videos where pretty awesome! Also, I would love to fight you with my team. It would be good to see how it compares.

1. You clearly haven't read anything from my post on your last thread, team sill need a lot of work.
2. Adhere to the format of this forum. POST EV SPREAD REASONING AND DAMAGE CALCULATIONS, some of your pokemon haven't even invested the 508 EVs.
3. Oh my god, if your using showdown just use the pastebin. Click import / export and get you set in this format:

Sableye @ Sablenite
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 248 HP / 80 Def / 180 SpD
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Taunt
- Protect
- Foul Play

Its not that hard!
4. No offense, but those battlespot videos aren't a good representation of your team. You're not demonstrating why you run the sets you do (I.e running both megas: that should never be done), and whoever you were playing clearly made some very poor decisions (trying to toxic a sleeping pkmn).

Cress' and swampert's reasoning has been added, thnx for the appreciation, it is just a creeper swampert btw, isn't meant to outspeed much.
i took screenshots, edited them, uploaded the pics on twitter :P then copied the URL from it and inserted em here * i know it was a stupid move :P*

Fixed some issue, like errors from showdown of showing actual intended investments.
1. thankyou for the suggestions on the last post, however it doesn't means that if you suggest something it is gonna come into the team, as i always say every one's comfortability and playstyle varies with the teams they want to use other than forced into using. please tell were the team is BAD i will try my best to fix it if it comes to be a problem for me.
2. there isn't a reason to give if you invest 252/252/4 spreads and a bulky sableye, already with W-o-W and snarl, the reason for speed and offfense have been added if you read through it.
3. it is my choice if i use the pastebin or not, that isn't something to argue about, and btw this isn't my first RMT post on any site.
4. the server crashed and i can't add up more and more battle vids, i'll try getting new vids as soon as i can get a connection, and btw haven't you seen anyone use their dual mega's brought in one match?
if you have other probs apart from my team plz consider PM'ing me other than spreading hate *sorry if i sound a bit offensive here* on these threads

Taken from good ol' Wikipedia:

"Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one. The purpose of constructive criticism is to improve the outcome."
