[DISCUSSION] Volt Tackle Pikachu or Raichu?

Hey,

so I've wanted to breed a Raichu with Volt Tackle. Now I have seen a few VGC 2016 Videos with a Pikachu. It had Volt Tackle and had no Sash. Now I have been wondering if Full Atk Ev, Defensive Evolith Pikachu is better than Raichu? Or what exactly the Reason is why they've chosen Pikachu over Raichu, since Raichu has higher Base Atk and Spe Stats.
Any Ideas?

I would say Raichu is better than Pikachu without a Light Ball.

Oh i see, so if you go for a Jolly Max Spe max Atk Pikachu, you're going to punch a little bit heavier than the Raichu can. I guess that explains my question. Thanks !

Raichu probably, I think Pikachu is too slow most likely
