At this point, the QR rental teams should be fine to use as long as you absolutely do not share the code that's the PGL gives for you to anyone else. Each QR code is unique to everyone, however if you share the code to someone with malicious intent and decent hacking knowledge, they can impersonate as your player profile and get you banned from ranked battle like battle spot or online competitions. Its best to share the page of the QR Team to anyone so they can generate their own code for themselves of the same team.
