They do plan to release it by some other platform, but none of the major online streaming companies have stepped forwards. They have fully intend to get this movie to anyone who wants to see it. So far only BitTorrent has offered to release the movie. Others like Netflix or Amazon may be too afraid of a cyberattack.

Good job sony. First scared away and now giving it a big "#YOLO" move by releasing it on a holiday then at the same time Youtube as well.

they worked hard to make the move so i can understand them still wanting to release it but its still alittle silly for risking it

It's on YouTube now as well as plenty of other sights. Netflix might steam it in the future too. There's a sight specifically designed for it now.

Sony made a site where you spend $6 to watch the movie. No reason not to trust them with your CC information.
