All of them(except for the Mews, Palkia, Dialga, Pikachu, Zapdos, Volcarona, and the Latias) have Blue Pentagons. I'm assuming that's a form of authenticity?

Yes and No becasue I have transferred Pokemon from my older games, and They are all legitimate but are missing the pentagon. I think the Pokemon with a pentagon is something they added in six gen but don't quote me.
