RE: Shinies Caught by using DexNav - fuenke666 - Dec 19, 2014 I've done quite a bit of DexNav chaining, before and after obtaining the shiny charm. I suspect that the shiny charm affects chaining the same way it affected chaining in X/Y, in the respect that you reach your maximum shiny encounter rate faster, rather than improving your max chance rate. Since chains don't end when you find your shiny pokemon, and since you can change the pokemon you are tracking through the DexNav between any encounter without resetting your chain, you can effectively maintain your max chance (1/200?) afterwards and move onto the next shiny in the same area. I did this yesterday on one of the mirage islands. I started with a 120 chain of Persian, got the shiny, did a 240 chain of Xatu, moved directly into a 30-odd chain of Zebstrika, and followed it up with a 136 Venomoth chain. RE: Shinies Caught by using DexNav - HauntedHalo - Dec 19, 2014 Caught shiny unown when the search level was a little over 100, I forget the chain count since I have broken it so many times. Then caught a shiny larvesta, at a 2 chain, the search level was I think 12 or something. RE: Shinies Caught by using DexNav - bladeraccosta - Dec 20, 2014 Shiny eevee - 37 chain, search level in the 400's http://imgur.com/h8eEEC9 Shiny zigzagoon freshly caught about 30 mins ago (horde encounter) 2nd encounter http://imgur.com/oTi1rya Shiny ralts - 2 chain, search level around 50 http://imgur.com/uLyhVr5 Shiny psyduck 50-60 chain, search level 250-300, 3 hours after the ralts catch http://imgur.com/qNCo72z Shinies as of now (not including shiny metagross) http://imgur.com/a/tY5RO All besides zigzagoon and magikarp that you see in Shinies as of now were using DexNav RE: Shinies Caught by using DexNav - EpicLolz53 - Dec 20, 2014 I've chain fished for 5 shinies, but got 0 Dexnav shinies. Chaining is still difficult for me in this gen it seems. RE: Shinies Caught by using DexNav - Sideburnz_Mcgee - Dec 20, 2014 Got really lucky got a shiny xatu with search level of 9 with a 9 chain RE: Shinies Caught by using DexNav - ProfessorOak - Dec 28, 2014 Hey guys! Through my shiny hunting I have determined that it is MUCH easier to catch shinies in ORAS then previous games. I've caught 4 already. Here are my catches: Shiny Vulpix in Mirage Forest north of Fortree. Chain 40, SL 420 Shiny Kakuna in Safari Zone, chain 20, SL 130 Shiny Psyduck in Safari Zone, Chain 13 SL 115 Shiny Swablu near Meteor Falls, chain 41 SL 121. I seem to be really lucky but this has happened four times, so I believe that it's not a coincidence. Dexnav chaining is way too op! Any thoughts? |
