it is possible. You would have teach it the move in whatever gen it can learn defog than transfer it to sun and moon. Or you could gen it if that doesn't bother you.

@wartty Then it works : ) I still have time to train it myself and since you can get battle points by using the pokemon Bank, getting a kings rock shouldn't be that hard.
@Jspur Either is fine. Of course getting a ready evolved Politoed saves time from me.
