Shiny Journal! - Confide - Sep 17, 2016

Alright, I'm setting this up so people all over the forums can see my progress getting back into catching shinies, and so others can share shiny stories as well! I'm going to set up a format for my journal and (hopefully) regularly update it, but anyone who comments on this can simply share a story or include pictures and stuff! I'll start off with a shiny I caught last night:

(And for reference, I'll probably include the extra pokemon in a giveaway or something I do in the future to give back to this community! I'll probably let those build up a bit before I do anything, though.)

I got REALLY into SR after my first try, got a shiny terrakion in 29SR. Unfortunately I tried for Zekrom afterwards and it took 1.5k+ SR Sad Goodness though, 3.5k SR takes a lot of patience, props to you!!! ☆～（ゝ。∂）

I've always sucked at shiny hunting! Honestly tried for a long time and wasn't getting anything. One day I went into friend safari, just cause I have a pure hatred for black blobs (seriously though, BLACK BLOBS DERSERVE TO DIE!!!!  Angry ) Anyways, I was in the safari casually when this blue ponyta rudely interupted my casual gameplay. I wasn't prepared for it, but I love my NyteMare more and more every day. I've had beter luck after that xD

I was lucky enough to catch a shiny ponyta in a FS two days ago after 99 encounters. I'd been searching for one since Diamond after I found one on the daycare route (if I remember correctly) and my DS died right before I caught it ;( I was so heartbroken it was my second shiny encounter ever (although at the time I didnt know what shiny pokemon were and thought it was a glitch lol)

I'm the absolute WORST at HE, and I'm so out of practice with PR in X too that I can't keep a chain more than 25 anymore Sad but that's why I have this journal, to keep me motivated to keep going and motivate others too!

HE takes such mechanical movements, which makes it a hassle for me because I like multitasking shiny hunting between games, which is why I like SR with either FS or chain fishing on an alternate device, mimimum button pressing XD

I actually haven't taken the time to look into dexnav too much. It confuses me a good bit, but I've only really done MM and chain fishing in ORAS, so I'll probably look into it after I SR for Latios :0
