Why 6 IVs? - Snoopy Shannon - Dec 18, 2014

Isn't it kind of unnecessary to have perfect IVs for both Atk and Sp Atk? In most cases at least?

Yes, in most cases it's unnecessary. It's actually more beneficial for a special attacker to have 0 Atk IV's because it will do less damage to itself from confusion.

Its also a big part for Hidden Power users where all 6IVs can't be 31 to get the correct Hidden Power.

The only reason you absolutely NEED 6 IVs on a Pokemon is:

-You use both Attack stats
-You aren't using Hidden Power
-You aren't worried about Confusion and/or Foul Play destroying you.

That's how I see it. But if I get it, then I get it and I most likely use it if it's a physical attacker.
