You can find an extensive breeding guide, including all you need to know about IVs, right here on the site.

@Rockycombo thank you so much!

have you unlocked the "Judge" feature in the box?

@TooManyIcons  judge feature?

From the guide I linked to:
Quote:How do I know my IVs?
The most efficient way to do this is to do the following:
1. Hatch 20 eggs
2. Go to the Battle Tree on Poni Island
3. Talk to the Ace Trainer NPC who is sleeping

He will give you a function that allows you to judge the IVs of your Pokemon in the box. If an IV is listed as "best," it's 31. If it's listed as "no good," it's zero. Any other comments on the IV are irrelevant because...no one really breeds for anything but 31 or 0 unless you're torturing yourself for Hidden Power.

Its a feature in the box that show your pokemon IVs and is much simpler then in past generations! Looks like the guide have it covered, anyway, i'm pretty new to making competitive pokemon aswell but if you need help just PM me, i've been searching for about a week and even i dont know much about the meta i can get a pokemon done if i know what i'm trying to get
