How can i set up trick room with cress against the genies/fake kang etc? Should i run a faster fakeout? Does fakeout beat prankster taunt?

taunt can be countered with mental herb other than that you either need your own fake out user to aid setting the room or just use the freedom from the person fear of your tr to use your other pokemon they assume will be protecting and go aggressive. Most of the game is around making the right calls if they focus ur tr setter turn 1 and u protect well you other pokemons speed is irrelevant then as you foe may as well not have acted :D

Yea i agree was thinking if they go over aggressive vs cress I get a free abamaBlizzard or heatram Heatwave etc.

Also, keep in mind that mega stones can't be knocked off or exchanged w/ trick.

Simple, get a Pokemon with the move Quick Guard. It will block Fake Out and Prankster status moves allowing Cresselia to set up. If that doesn't work then give Cresselia a mental herb.
