VGC2015 Team Critique - Cobb - Jan 16, 2015 I have been working on creating a VGC15 team, testing it out on Showdown, and refining over the past couple of weeks. I was wondering what your thoughts were on it, as well as any critiques, thoughts on it in regards to the metagame, etc. It is primarily an intimidate and snarl team, with prankster support. Some of the better combos that I have been seeing are a Landorus and Aegislash duo (sludge wave doesn't affect him and often King's Shielding which also protects against earthquake, also can easily switch into Salamence, avoids EQ and gets an intimidate off). As well as Arcanine and Sableye (Intimidate, plus wisp, and snarl, essentially shuts down opposing attackers). Running a non-mega, specced Salamence has also proven good because everyone is expecting a mega and tries everything it can to lower attack (intimidate, wisp, etc.) and it helps to pull focus from the teammate. Sableye @ Leftovers Ability: Prankster EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 SpD Impish Nature - Will-O-Wisp - Taunt - Recover - Foul Play Landorus-Therian (M) @ Assault Vest Ability: Intimidate EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpA Naughty Nature - Earthquake - Rock Slide - Sludge Wave - Brick Break Arcanine @ Focus Sash Ability: Intimidate EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Heat Wave - Snarl - Protect - Extreme Speed Salamence @ Choice Specs Ability: Intimidate EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Modest Nature - Hydro Pump - Fire Blast - Draco Meteor - Dragon Pulse Clefable @ Red Card Ability: Unaware EVs: 252 HP / 152 Def / 104 SpD Bold Nature - Follow Me - Cosmic Power - Moonlight (Would Wish be better here, maybe) - Moonblast (Debating the usefulness and maybe changing to Dazzling Gleam to get spread damage) Aegislash @ Weakness Policy Ability: Stance Change EVs: 252 HP / 72 Def / 184 SpD Sassy Nature - King's Shield - Shadow Ball - Shadow Sneak - Iron Head RE: VGC2015 Team Critique - tygaa2 - Jan 16, 2015 It would be helpful to have a mega on the team. They are pretty strong RE: VGC2015 Team Critique - IceyGamer - Jan 16, 2015 Don't force on a mega though. If you work fine without one then go on ahead because Megas aren't needed. I have ran teams without one and did very good with them. |
